Learn to Knit - Beginners

Learn this ancient craft, and discover the exciting range of possibilities available to the modern knitter. Once you have learned the basics, it is possible to create beautiful and practical wearables and homewares for yourself, your family and friends.

In this class you  will learn some basics of knitting techniques 

• Casting on
• Knit
• Purl
• simple increase and decrease
• casting off
• Learn to read simple patterns.
• Apply techniques learnt to begin a simple knitting project.

Sharon from Fibre Frolic was taught to knit as a child by her grandmother and has more than 30 years experience

Only $50, includes tuition and a Knitting starter kit.

The kit contains a Learn to Knit leaflet, 1 x set of needles, 2 x 8ply yarn,  so you can continue to practice your new skills at home. 

Complimentary tea, coffee and treats will be provided. Please also bring a pen and notebook if you’d like to take additional notes
